Purikura

Elspeth, Becky and I went to see Bourne Ultimatum in Toyohashi this weekend and while waiting for the movie to start we decided to do some purikura.

The insanity of these photobooths overwhelms me and makes me a nervous wreck for 10 minutes. Imagine a photobooth covered in pictures of cutesy Japanese girls, singing annoying music, and surrounded by gaggles of overly-made-up young women and their boyfriends or groups of uniformed schoolgirls.

After taking your pictures you go to a different part of the booth and using computer pen-things you decorate your photos with bubbles, snow or like me, smiling piles of pink poo! 2 minutes later your strip of photos pop out and you snip them apart, share them with your friends, glue them in your books or to your phone. Brilliant!

2 minutes?! That's much better than the.. 15 minutes we had to wait for ours! Bargh. That machine took forever.

I love that if you choose the 'cover the picture with snow' button it identifies faces and leaves them alone. Thank you computer science!

We totally need to do more of these.
