Obon Vacation

I'm off to Osaka today! Then after a night in a capsule hotel Becky, Elspeth and I are heading to the wonderful city of Kyoto for some shrine-seeing, garden-gazing, sake-drinking, sushi-eating fun! And there is the possibility that we will be dressing up like geishas!

I won't be able to post until next week. Just wanted to warn you Taryn so that you won't think I've given up on the brog.

RRRaura!!

There was a fire today on the top floor of the buildings on QueenWest at Claremont!! It seemed to have started above the fur coat place, then was carried west by the wind to the MOTHERSHIP, eeegads!! It was aweful.... I can only hope that no merchandise was destroyed. Oh yes, and that no one was hurt.

I could smell burning wood as soon as i stepped out of work, and immediately my brain seemed to go "Hey, smells like camp! I feel like eating a s'more". Luckily for all the parties concerned, the fire station is also at Queen+Claremont, and they seemed to be eventually getting things under control.

So, that's the news from home and i hope you have a lovely time in your capsule tonight!! Or rather, last night... oh damn you, silly Japan-time!
